Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson Released From Hospital After Coronavirus Treatment

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have been released from the Queensland hospital in Australia after being treated for having the coronavirus.

People (via Yahoo) reports that, "Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have left a Queensland hospital and are now resting at a rented home in Australia five days after revealing they had both tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)... The pair remain under quarantine in their house, Hanks’ representative says."

The actor announced last Wednesday that he and his wife were diagnosed with the coronavirus while in Australia for the production of Baz Luhrmann‘s untitled Elvis Presley biopic. Hanks is set to play Colonel Tom Parker in the movie. The actor previously revealed:

“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

Well, they took things one day at a time and came out of it victorious. It’s good to know they are okay.
