Tom Hanks Is a Grumpy Grouch in Trailer for A MAN CALLED OTTO
Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Tom Hanks’ upcoming film A Man Called Otto, and in this film, Hanks plays a grumpy old man, who “doesn't hate the world. Just the people ruining it." But, his heart ends up being softened by a new family that moves into his neighborhood. Tom Hanks is such a wonderful and likable actor and this looks like it’s going to be a good heartwarming film.
The movie is based on the comical and moving novel by Fredrik Backman, which “tells the story of Otto Anderson (Hanks), a grumpy widower who is very set in his ways. When a lively young family moves in next door, he meets his match in quick-witted and very pregnant Marisol, leading to an unlikely friendship that will turn his world upside-down. Experience a funny, heartwarming story about how some families come from the most unexpected places.”
The movie was directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland), and the script was written by David Magee (Life of Pi, Finding Neverland). It also stars Mariana Treviño (Club the Cuervos), Rachel Keller (Fargo), and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven).
The movie is set to be released on Christmas and will be released everywhere on January 13th.
