Tom Hardy Jumped in Suit of Medieval Armor and Participated in a Jousting Competition
Tom Hardy made a surprise appearance at the Loxwood Joust medieval festival jousting competition in West Sussex, England. He put on a suit of armor and actually jumped into battle, which you can see a video of below. I guess this is what Hardy is doing while the writers and actors are on Strike in Hollywood!
Hardy shared on social media with some photos: "This might have happened today… Random day out in the English countryside nipping to the shops.” He added “Not quite BJJ but not bad either,” referring to Brazilian jiu-jitsu, in which he has a purple belt. The actor previously made a surprise public appearance at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship in Milton Keynes, England last year.
Loxwood Joust takes place annually in Billingshurst, and it’s described as the "most spectacular immersive medieval and jousting festival" where attendees can step back in time to experience the verve and vigor of a world where lives were harsh and hearts were full of passion at this unique, fun and educational day out for all the family."
Once the strikes are over, Hardy will jump back into production on Venom 3. Other projects he’s been working on include the action thriller Havoc, from The Raid director Gareth Evans, and The Bikeriders, which also stars Austin Butler and Jodie Comer.
