Tom Hardy's VENOM 3 Will Be Directed by Kelly Marcel

Kelly Marcel, the writer and producer of the first two Venom films, is set to direct Venom 3, in which Tom Hardy will reprise his role. Marcel will also write the script and produce the film alongside Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

I’m not the biggest fan of the Venom franchise, and I thought the sequel was a complete mess. But, there are Marvel fans that do enjoy them, and I imagine they’re looking forward to seeing the story for Hardy’s Venom continue with a third movie.

There are no plot details to share for Venom 3, but it will involve Venom having to save the day again when a new villain emerges and threatens the world.

Marcel seems like a good choice for the director as she’s been with the franchise from the very beginning and played a huge part in mapping out Venom’s big-screen journey. Deadline also says that “Hardy and Marcel have always been on the same page when it comes to shaping Venom’s story and that heading into the final chapter the two were in step with what direction they wanted this final chapter to head.”
