Marvel’s Loki series sure has been a joy to watch. The first two episodes have been great, and I imagine the series is just going to get better and better.

There were some interesting decisions made at the end of the second episode in regards to Loki, and in a recent interview with TV Line, Tom Hiddleston explains why Loki made the decision to do what he did. If you haven’t watched the second episode yet, you might want to steer clear.

At the end of Episode 2, curiosity got the better of Loki and after a brief conversation with Lady Loki, he decided to follow her as she escaped through a portal after putting the Sacred Timeline into complete chaos. The variant set off a bunch of reset charges which splintered the timeline. So, why did he follow her and leave the TVA behind? Hiddleston said:

"I think certainly there's conflict. I think he – Mobius is someone who perhaps for the first time in his life he thinks he might be able to trust, and perhaps trusts him, and he doesn't want to betray that trust. But at the same time, he has to go and see what's going on. He can't help himself but follow, because it's too strange and provokes so much curiosity in him. So there is a huge conflict there, he thinks 'I probably shouldn't do this, maybe there can be repercussions down the line, but I have to see what that's about.'"

So, what does Mobius think about being ditched by Loki? Owen Wilson opened up about that as well saying:

"I think he feels betrayed. Having studied his life and sort of knowing everything, you'd feel a little bit foolish also, because you can't ever really be surprised that the God of Mischief would be up to something. I think there's a little bit of that, and sort of also maybe a, 'Well, here we go.'"

It’s going to be interesting and fun to see how the story plays out from here! We’ll get our next episode on Wednesday next week.
