Tom Hiddleston's Role in Marvel's Disney+ LOKI Series Will Reportedly Be Very Different Than We Think

A lot of Marvel fans are excited about the upcoming Loki series that is coming to Disney+. We know that Tom Hiddelston has confirmed that he will be reprising his role, but according to a new report, the way Loki will be portrayed in the series will be a lot different than we thought.

That Hashtag Show's Charles Murphry offered up some interesting details about the show that he has learned, and I’m not sure how fans are going to take it.

According to the report, Hiddleston will only serve as the narrator of the series, and the story itself will focus on a much younger version of Loki, who will be played by a younger actor. Yep, the series might end up telling us the story of Loki’s past!

This is just a rumor at the moment, but it’s the kind of move that Marvel would make that wouldn’t surprise me. Here’s a series of tweets that were sent out sharing the news and discussing the possibility:

I’d actually be fine with a series set around a young Loki with Hiddleston telling the story. A lot of people seem to be freaking out about the idea, but there’s an interesting story to tell there! Hell, that means we could also see the series play with a young Thor and the relationship between the two characters as kids as well.

Even if this news isn’t true, I’m still on board with the concept. What do you think of the possibility of the Loki series focusing on a younger version of the character?
