Tom Holland and Zendaya Want To Join The Animated SPIDER-VERSE Films
Tom Holland and Zendaya have enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man film franchise. While that is sure to continue after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the two talents would also love the opportunity to jump into the animated Spider-Verse franchise. They are just "waiting for the phone call" to jump in.
There’s a two part sequel coming titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which stars Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy. The first teaser trailer was recently shared for the film and that got fans pretty excited for what’s coming, especially the inclusion of Spider-Woman (Issa Rae) and Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac).
In a recent interview with SYFY WIRE Zendaya said, "Love those [Spider-Verse] movies," and Holland added, "Love them and I'm just waiting for the phone call. Guys, call us. Put us in your movie, we want to be in it."
Holland went on to say the producer Amy Pascal did ask him to be a part of it, but there was no follow-up on it. He said, "Amy actually asked me on the set of [Spider-Man: No Way Home] and no one has come back to me. I wanna be in them. Yeah, I love those movies."
I’m sure that one day it will all fall into place, and Holland and Zendaya will eventually show up in the animated Spider-Verse franchise.
