Tom Holland Offers Reveals a Strange Deleted Scene from AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Involving Astral Forms
Tom Holland is our making the press rounds for Spider-Man: Far From Home, and he’s been sharing more unknown details about the previous Marvel films that he was a part of.
While talking to IMDB, Holland shared some details about a deleted scene that is a little strange as it involved the MCU heroes in astral forms. This bit of information was shared as he was talking about Karen Gillian falling asleep on the set of the film while shooting:
"There's a scene in Infinity War that actually didn't make the edit and it was basically Thanos like snapped his fingers or something and all the Guardians became like astral forms and then I had to try and grab all their bodies and put them back in the astral form, for real, and at one point they're all lying down on the floor, all the Guardians, and Karen fell asleep because she was so tired from being up so early all the time, everyone was like 'Karen, we're filming'.”
That certainly would have made for an interesting visual… seeing the heroes in astral form as Spider-Man tried to put them back in their bodies. This scene would have taken place on the planet Titan when Iron Man, Spider-Man, and The Guardians were battling Thanos. This would have been a part of the fight, and Thanos would have used the Infinity Gauntlet to separate the bodies from their souls.
I would have liked to see that visually, but the Russo Bros. obviously had different plans for how that scene was supposed to play out.
What do you think about that deleted scene? Would you have liked to see it?
