Tom Holland Reportedly Shot Cameo For VENOM But Disney Had Sony Remove It

Remember the rumors that were being reported that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would make a cameo appearance in Venom? Well, it looks like there might be some truth to that.

According to Collider, that was the plan all along. Holland is said to have even shot a cameo for the movie. But, Disney and Marvel didn’t want the two franchises connecting to each other so they ended up pushing Sony to drop the cameo in the final cut.

It makes sense that Disney and Marvel would want Holland’s version of Spider-Man in the film because it would confuse the hell out of audiences. Well, now audiences and fans are just confused as to why these two studios are being stubborn and won’t share Spider-Man anymore.

With Sony now taking back full control of Spider-Man, you can bet that he’s going to be utilized in these upcoming Marvel films that Sony is developing. I just don’t think it will ever be as good as it was when Marvel was leading the creative charge.

However, with Spider-Man now a criminal, it would be interesting to see Eddie Brock a.k.a. Venom a.k.a. Lethal Protector take a trip to New York City to take down Spider-Man.

What do you hope to see from Spider-Man now that he’s fully back with Sony?
