Marvel fans were pretty blown away by the first trailer that was released for Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Hardcore fans have been analyzing the hell out of it since it was released and I’ve been reading so many different fan theories about what could be going on. Many of those theories revolve around Doctor Strange and how that might not really be Doctor Strange. These are all fun to read, but in the end, I’m sure they’ll all be wrong. Marvel has been putting stuff in trailers to throw fans off for years.

Anyway, Tom Holland recently addressed the fan excitement over the trailer saying, "The love and support you guys have shown for the film is so exciting.” He also went on to tease that what we see in this trailer is just the tip of the iceberg:

"Honestly, that is just the tip of the iceberg. You have no idea what else is to come. I am so excited to share more with you guys – and it feels so good to be back with Spider-Man, to be back with trailers [and] to have films coming out."

It’s going to be insanely cool and interesting to see what this movie ends up delivering and I can’t wait to see it! I can’t wait to see how this next Spider-Man story plays out! Will Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire actually show up!? We’ll just have to wait and see.

The synopsis for the film reads, "For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

When talking about the marketing of the film, Disney Studios marketing president Asad Ayaz explains that Sony Pictures is handling all of that:

"Sony is absolutely handling the marketing for Spider-Man. Kevin Feige and his team are closely partnering with the Sony team on those. So there is coordination in that sense. We also make sure we are aware of who is dropping what when. But we are not working together on the campaigns because it's their film. They are handling it but there is a level of coordination to make sure that it's a win-win for everybody."

Tom Holland stars in the movie, and it will see the return of villains from the different Spider-Man films such as Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx as Electro. It’s also being reported that Willem Dafoe will show up as Green Goblin and it’s said that he will actually be leading the villainous Sinister Six in the film. The trailer seems to tease these villains including Lizard and Sandman.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is being directed by Jon Watts, and it swings into theaters on December 17th.
