Tom Holland Talks About Pivotal Scene in FAR FROM HOME That Will Tie Into Next Film

We learned a ton about the future of the denizens of the MCU at D23 this weekend — except for one. As negotiations are either over or still up in the air, what we know for now is that Tom Holland will be continuing to play the role of Spider-Man over at Sony without the help of Marvel. But like a true professional, Holland is looking toward the future, and getting fans excited for the next film, no matter where it comes from.

At this past weekend’s Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia, Holland talked about a scene that he believes is pivotal to the next film that he will be in as Peter Parker, our friendly neighborhood spider-man. Here’s what he had to say:

“I think the best work I’ve ever done in any film is the scene with [Jon] Favreau on the plane, and that’s such a pivotal moment for the three films that we’re making — well, two films we’ve made, one film we’re making. It’s... I don’t really know how to describe it without giving stuff away. I’m really trying hard here [laughs].”

Good for Holland! He is not typically known for his restraint when talking about his films. But this is all so super tricky now, as they are no longer a Marvel property, so how will that scene tie into the next film? I guess we will have to wait and see, but it does get the wheels spinning though! What do you think it could mean??
