Tom Holland Was Pranked on The Set of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING
Tom Holland's performance as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War made a huge impression on the geek community. His take on the character (aided, of course, by the script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely) finally felt closer to the Spider-Man many of us recognize from the comics — not too dickish or arrogant, willing to sling some zingers along with his webs, and a sense of youthful wonder at being in the presence of all of those heroes.
We're stoked to see what Cop Car and Clown director Jon Watts does with Spider-Man: Homecoming, and while we've seen some smooth moves and high-flying antics from the set, Holland took to Instagram today to share that he's been the victim of a prank during filming.
Just to be clear: this isn't some weird situation where he's nicknamed himself "number one." Because he's the star of the movie, Holland is "number one" on the call sheet, and I'm sure you understand the rest.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters next summer on July 7, 2017.
