Tommy's Fate Revealed in Preview for MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #26

If you have not read Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25 or if you don’t want spoilers for #26, stop reading now. We are going into spoiler territory.

Now that we can speak freely, holy crap! How crazy was #25?! If you need a refresher, Lord Drakkon went and stabbed Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, with a decapitated Saba. That was a crazy event. While most fans understood him to be dead, some held out hope that he would somehow survive. Sadly, #26 confirms that Tommy has passed. The preview comes from SyFy, and it shows a couple of interesting things. First, it confirms Tommy’s death.

Second, Jason receives the Power Shield.

Third, we know that the Power Rangers have to tell Tommy’s parents. I can only imagine how that would be. We also get to see each of the rangers start the grieving process. Zack is angry, Kimberly is, of course, heartbroken, and Jason doesn’t know what to do. This is a great story! I’m new to the comics and was brought in because of my interest in the Shattered Grid story, but it’s proving to be an incredibly well done comic.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #26 will continue the Shattered Grid story and will be available on April 18, 2018.
