Tony Hale to Play Mr. Benedict and Mr. Curtain in Hulu's THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY Series

The Mysterious Benedict Society is an upcoming Hulu Original series based on the novel by Trenton Lee Stewart and it was recently revealed that Tony Hale has been cast in two roles. Hale will play Mr. Benedict as well as his twin brother Mr. Curtain. Mr. Benedict is described as “a rumpled, affable eccentric genius” who is the head of the Mysterious Benedict Society. The society is made of a group of orphans who save the world. Meanwhile, Mr. Curtain is “Mr. Benedict’s frustratingly sharp, well put-together (if villainous) twin brother.”

Based on the best-selling novel, The Mysterious Benedict Society is the tale of four gifted orphans who are recruited by an eccentric benefactor to go on a secret mission. Placed undercover at a boarding school known as The Institute, they must foil a nefarious plot with global ramifications, while creating a new sort of family along the way.

Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi are serving as writers and creators with Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer serving as showrunners. No release date has been given for The Mysterious Benedict Society.
