Too Many Cooks - Fake TV Show Has the Longest and Most Bizarre Opening Credits
If you’ve seen this [adult swim] video called “Too Many Cooks” making the rounds on the Internet today but haven’t actually watched it yet, you need to right now. It’s a life-changing experience. No, seriously. What makes this even more hilarious is the fact that it aired to unsuspecting viewers during the network's infomercial block.
The video, which comes from director Casper Kelly, starts off simple enough as a scarily accurate parody the opening credits of late ‘80s/early ‘90s sitcoms. Right around minute 3, though, they start jumping television eras and genres and things start to escalate and implode very quickly. At about the halfway mark it becomes an exercise in patience more than anything else. With just enough thrills and laughs to keep you from clicking away, you’re stuck watching the entire 11-and-a-half minute video. Watching this is basically like going on a roller coaster ride: It starts off great. Then you get a little scared. Then it becomes fun again. Then you hear someone puke, which actually makes you laugh. Then some of that puke starts flying towards your face. Then the rest of the ride is spent being hurled around while that vomit is slowly inching its way towards your mouth... or at least that sums up my experience.
Buckle up and watch this video. The gauntlet has been thrown down.
