TOP GUN: MAVERICK Planning to Make an Appearance at San Diego Comic-Con
Deadline reports that there is some buzz going around about Top Gun: Maverick making an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con next month. They say sources have told them that some of the cast has already booked hotel rooms. Tom Cruise has not officially confirmed yet, but he is big on promoting his films, and doesn’t shy away from fans and fan events, so it would not be surprising to see him there.
Paramount has made huge appearances at the convention before, previously with the 2016 movie Star Trek: Beyond. It was a huge outdoor screening with an orchestra, the cast and crew, and swag bags for everyone. Some of our crew were in attendance and it was incredible. [It was awesome, and I still wear the t-shirt. —ed.]I don’t think we would get something that big for the Top Gun sequel, only because it’s not due out for another year. But it would be awesome just to see some footage and hear about the film from the stars and director.
Paramount has not made any announcements about their attendance yet, but we should hear more soon. Only four more weeks until Comic-Con!!!!! What are you looking most forward to seeing/hearing about at the Con?
