Toph Beifong Is Getting Her Own Graphic Novel Story in TOPH BEIFONG'S METALBENDING ACADEMY
Avatar: The Last Airbender has always been popular, but it has once again been receiving a lot of mainstream attention since it was added to Netflix’s library of content to stream. The show has a lot of great characters including the Blind Bandit, Toph Beifong. Well, fans of Toph should be excited to hear that she’s getting a whole graphic novel about the metalbending academy that she founds after the series called Avatar: The Last Airbender – Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy.
Things are looking bright at the Beifong Metalbending Academy! But after all the adventures Toph’s had with Aang, Sokka, Zuko, and Katara, things feel dull. Luckily, Sokka and Suki come to visit and reintroduce some familiar faces from their wandering days. And while out and about to celebrate, Toph discovers something that just might put the spring back in her step.
The graphic novel is being written by Faith Erin Hicks with art by Peter Wartman and colors by Adele Matera. In addition, Tim Hedrick, writer for The Last Airbender, will also be collaborating on the book. Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy is set to launch on February 16, 2021 via local comic shops, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble for $12.99.
