New Trailer For The Charming Mystery Comedy THE SHEEP DETECTIVES with Hugh Jackman

A second Trailer For The Sheep Detectives has been released, and it’s as charming as the first. The film stars Hugh Jackman as the shepherd George, but not for long, as it’s his murder his sheep are trying to solve.

He is joined by Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, and Rhys Darby. Many of those actors are lending their voices to the animals in the cast.

The movie is directed by Kyle Balda, who has made some fantastic animated movies including The Lorax, Minions, Despicable Me 3, and Minions: The Rise of Gru. The screenplay is written by Craig Mazin, based on the book "Three Bags Full" from Leonie Swann.

The synopsis reads: “It's a herder mystery, and everyone is a suspect. In this witty, new breed of mystery in theaters next May, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every single night, assuming they can’t possibly understand.

“But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.”

This looks like such a fun movie. I plan on watching it this Mother’s Day with my family. Check out the trailer below, and catch The Sheep Detectives in theatres on May 8th.
