Trailer and Poster for Beautifully Hand-Drawn Animated Sci-Fi Feature THE SAGA OF REX
A great trailer has been released for the animated feature film The Saga of Rex, made by Michel Gagné, who previously worked on animation segments in Ratatouille, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Brad Bird's upcoming Ray Gunn.
Not only did Gagné write and direct the film, but he hand-drew each frame of the film over a period of 14 years. He’s now seeking distribution and film festival entries for the movie ahead of a hopeful 2027 release.
The synopsis for the pic reads: “A little fox. A flying saucer. An alien world. A journey that will change his life forever. Abducted from his home and taken across the cosmos, Rex is paired with a mysterious being named Aven and forced to face a series of extraordinary trials.
“As they struggle to survive the unknown, an unexpected bond begins to form between them—one that will ultimately demand courage, sacrifice, and love.”
