Trailer for Brea Grant's Country Music Horror Flick TORN HEARTS Starring Katey Sagal

A new trailer and poster have been released for the country music horror flick, Torn Hearts. The Blumhouse film was directed by Brea Grant (Best Friends Forever, 12 Hour Shift), from a script written by Rachel Koller Croft (Lady Bits with Lauren Giraldo). It stars Katey Sagal (Married With Children, Sons of Anarchy) as a retired country music star, who used to be half a duo with her late sister. She is joined by Abby Quinn, Alexxis Lemire, Joshua Leonard, and Shiloh Fernandez.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

Blumhouse TV and EPIX present this cautionary tale of a rise to stardom set in the iconic Nashville Country Music scene. Two friends, rising artists on the brink of a big break, will do just about anything to realize their dream – including a pilgrimage to the legendary and reclusive Harper Dutch's (Golden Globe winner Katey Sagal) mansion in the hopes she’ll record a song with them. While their life-long idol seems intent to help, the visit devolves into a twisted series of mental and physical torment as the pair discover Harper – and each other – may have other motives. With no other choice and desperate to record a song, the duo must go to dangerous lengths to prove their dedication to their dream of becoming Nashville's next country music stars.

This looks like a pretty crazy scary movie! It’s fun to see Katey Sagal back in a dark role after playing the bike club matriarch in SOA. It’s also fun to see her in the role of a singer, as she is a real-life musician who has sung on other projects, and she even plays a singer on her current series, The Connors.

This looks like it’s going to be pretty wild. Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch Torn Hearts on EPIX on May 20th.
