A trailer and poster have been released for the indie drama Montana Story, starring Haley Lu Richardson (The Edge of Seventeen, Split, Five Feet Apart) and Owen Teague (Bloodline, IT, The Stand). The movie was written and directed by filmmaking partners Scott McGehee and David Siegel (Bee Season, What Maisie Knew). The small cast also features Gilbert Owuor, Kimberly Guerrero, Eugene Brave Rock, and Asivak Koostachin.

Here’s the synopsis:

From acclaimed writers / directors Scott McGehee & David Siegel comes a neo-Western with an emotional tremor hiding beneath it. Two estranged siblings (Haley Lu Richardson, Owen Teague) return home to the sprawling ranch they once knew and loved, confronting a deep and bitter family legacy against a mythic American backdrop.

The cinematography in this film is breathtaking. The Montana backdrop feels very much like a member of the cast, and a huge part of the story. Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch Montana Story in select US theaters starting on May 13th.
