Trailer and Poster for Netflix’s Epic Series MARCO POLO

Netflix has released a new trailer for their upcoming original series Marco Polo. This show looks pretty freakin’ spectacular, and it should! After all, Netflix dropped $90 million to make the damn thing!

Intrigue. Deception. Bloodshed. These are just some of the obstacles awaiting legendary explorer Marco Polo as he navigates the inner court of 13th century ruler, Kublai Khan. From the back alleys of Venice to the perilous Silk Road, from the opulence of the Imperial City to the battlefields of China, Marco Polo is an epic action-adventure, where cultures clash, blood is spilled, and lies are told...

The series was created by John Fusco, who is the writer of the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel. The first two episodes were directed by Kon-Tiki helmers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, and they also serve as executive producers. These guys are talented directors, and they are currently developing Pirates of the Caribbean 5 for Disney.

The 10-episode series will premiere on the streaming service on December 12th.
