Trailer and Poster For Vatican Operative Action Flick THE MAN FROM ROME Starring Richard Armitage

A new trailer and poster have been released for the Vatican operative action movie The Man From Rome, starring Richard Armitage, Amaia Salamanca, Paul Guilfoyle, Paul Freeman, Rodolfo Sancho, Fionnula Flanagan, Carlos Cuevas, and Franco Nero. The film is written and directed by Sergio Dow (Imágenes del Pacífico, Rambao, On Wheels, Botero).

Here’s the synopsis:

A computer hacker penetrates the Vatican's security and sends an urgent anonymous plea to the pope. Handsome Father Quart, of the church's Institute of External Affairs, an arm of the Vatican intelligence, is dispatched to investigate. The message of the hacker concerns a crumbling 17th century Baroque church in the heart of Seville that apparently "kills to defend itself."

This looks just okay. The story is a little outlandish and the writing seems a little flat. But the trailer could be misleading. Check out the trailer below, and watch The Man From Rome when it’s released in select US theaters and on VOD sometime this summer.
