FreakAngels is a new Crunchyroll original anime that will be premiering on January 27 with 9 episodes. After the world faces an apocalyptic event, the London neighborhood of Whitechapel is the last bastion of humanity left. It has lasted this long thanks to a mysterious purple dome of energy that initially protected it, and the FreakAngels that guard it now. The FreakAngels are a group of psychically powered twenty three year-olds who’s fragile peace is threatened when an exiled friend returns. Past conspiracies rear their ugly heads and new conflicts threaten to tear apart the makeshift family, can Whitechapel survive?

With Hiroshi Shimizu (MEGALOBOX, Blue Exorcist, Lupin III) on board as Character Designer and Osamu Masuyama serving as Art Director (Made in Abyss, Studio Ghibli) this anime is sure to look amazing. You can check out the trailer below.
