Trailer and Rundown for Cobie Smulders ABC Series STUMPTOWN

Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers) will be playing the lead role in ABC’s new drama, Stumptown. The story is based on a comicbook of the same name by Greg Rucka, and the series is being written by Jason Richman, who is also producing alongside Ruben Fleischer and David Bernad. ABC reports the following synopsis for the series:

Stumptown follows Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders)—a strong, assertive and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. Her military intelligence skills make her a great PI, but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police.

This looks and sounds like a pretty solid series. The trailer made me laugh, and it was good to see Smulders in a series again. I believe her in this part, and I think it will end up being a good show. Stumptown will join ABC’s fall lineup. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you’ll be tuning in.
