Trailer for 100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS. A Four-Part Documentary Special That Explores the Studio's History
HBO’s Max has released a trailer for 100 Years of Warner Bros., a four-part documentary series that will take a deep dive into the history of the iconic movie studio.
The doc will be narrated by none other than Morgan Freeman, and it will explore “the impact of Warner Bros. on art, commerce, and culture.” It also tells the unprecedented story of “the fabled entertainment studio on its 100th anniversary.”
The docuseries will include insights and first-person stories from directors, actors, executives, journalists and historians, and it will “trace Warner Bros.’ underdog origins – from its founding in the early 1920s by four brothers from an immigrant family, through decades of creative risks and impactful storytelling, to the historic mergers of the 2000s that transformed the company into a global entertainment powerhouse.”
The history of Warner Bros. is a fascinating one! If you want to get into the awesome nitty gritty of that story, there’s a great podcast that covers it titled The Secret History of Hollywood: Bullets and Blood. That details the history of the studio in an incredible and entertaining way.
As for 100 Years of Warner Bros., it was directed by Leslie Iwerks, and “offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look into the indelible stories that have spoken to audiences around the world for generations.”
The first two segments of the series will stream May 25th on Max.
