Trailer for Creepy Haunted House Whodunnit Horror Thriller THE RUSE
Here’s a trailer for a haunted house horror thriller titled The Ruse. It centers on an in-home caregiver who fears for her life after being assigned to a mysterious elderly patient in a remote seaside home.
The synopsis reads: “When the in-home caregiver assigned to an elderly patient mysteriously vanishes, Dale (Madelyn Dundon) is quickly sent as the replacement nurse.
“She rushes to the remote seaside home, only to find herself in the middle of chaos—forced to deal with an unruly patient, mysterious neighbors, and terrifying supernatural occurrences that seem to plague the home.
“Is the house haunted? Or is something even more malevolent to blame? As the walls close in, unsure whom she can trust, Dale fears for her life and that of her patient in this eerie new horror film...”
The movie is described as "a terrifying whodunit" and it was written and directed by Stevan Mena. It also stars Veronica Cartwright, Michael Bakkensen, Nicola Silber, T.C. Carter, Kayleigh Ruller, and Michael Steger.
I enjoy a good haunted house movie and this one looks like it could be interesting. The Ruse will be released in theaters on May 16th, 2025.
