Trailer For a Desert-Set Supernatural Horror Film THE SEEDING
Magnolia Pictures has released a trailer for a desert-set supernatural indie horror film titled The Seeding. The story centers on a hiker who gets lost in the desert, and a gang of feral children propelled by haunting legacies traps him in a sadistic fight for survival with a frightening endgame. So, that sounds like a good time!
The film is described as a “slow-burning thriller” and “a stone-cold nightmare that confronts our fears of isolation and unchecked toxic masculinity headfirst." The movie is written and directed by Barnaby Clay and it stars Scott Haze and Kate Lyn Sheil.
It was filmed on location in Kanab, Utah and it looks like a strange and creepy horror movie worth checking out.
The synopsis reads: "We can probably agree that growing up is hell, but growing up alone in the desert is another kind of hell altogether. That’s what one hiker (Haze) finds out when he encounters a lost child while photographing a solar eclipse. What starts as an act of good Samaritanism turns into a deadly cat-and-mouse game between him, a group of menacing teenage boys, and a mysterious woman with a unique connection to them (Sheil). As it turns out, The Seeding is more than just an eye-catching title. It's something much more terrifying."
The Seeding will be released in select US theaters and on VOD starting January 26th, 2024.
