Trailer For a Russian Superhero Film Titled MAJOR GROM: PLAGUE DOCTOR
I’ve got a fun trailer to share with you today for a Russian superhero movie titled Major Grom: Plague Doctor and it’s based on the cult Russian comic book series published by Bubble Comics. I’m not familiar with the character, but it looks like a visually cool flick!
The story centers on a cop who is hunting down a mysterious masked vigilante who calls himself The Plague Doctor. This vigilante brutally kills wealthy criminals who have escaped through the cracks of the criminal justice system, and it leads to chaos and riots across the city.
Here’s the synopsis:
Police Major Igor Grom is known throughout St. Petersburg for his penetrative character and irreconcilable attitude towards criminals of all stripes. But everything changes dramatically with the appearance of a person in the mask of the Plague Doctor.
The movie was directed by Oleg Trofim (Ice) on a $10 million budget and it stars Tikhon Zhiznevskiy and Lyubov Aksenova. The movie will get a wide theatrical release in Russia next year. As of right now there is no domestic or international release date.
