Trailer for Alejandro G. Iñárritu's Latest Far Out Oscar Contender Film BARDO: FALSE CHRONICLE OF A HANDFUL OF TRUTHS
Academy Award-winning writer and director Alejandro González Iñárritu, known for his films Birdman or (the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) and The Revenant, is coming out with another far out Oscar contender titled Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths. Iñárritu is back in the director’s seat, making the film based on his screenplay, which he is producing as well.
The film premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival. After screening at Venice and Telluride, Iñárritu went back into the edit room and cut down 22 minutes from the film, bringing its runtime to two hours and 32 minutes, without credits.
Billed as a comedy, Bardo stars Daniel Giménez Cacho as an acclaimed Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker who returns to his home in the middle of an existential crisis that leaves him questioning his identity, family relationships and his past. Griselda Siciliani co-stars along with Cacho in the film.
This looks like an interesting movie that might be a good watch. Check out the trailer below, and watch Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths in theaters on November 4th, and on Netflix on December 16th.
