Trailer for Alex Garland's CIVIL WAR Sees the American Government at War Against Its Citizens
“Citizens of America, the so-called Western forces of Texas and California have suffered a very great defeat at the hands of the United States military.”
A24 has released the first trailer for Alex Garland‘s upcoming action thriller drama Civil War. The film is set in the near future, and the story revolves around the U.S. amid civil war. The government is at war against its citizens as they are striking civilians and killing journalists in the Capitol.
The brief synopsis reads: “A race to the White House in a near-future America balanced on the razor’s edge.” The movie stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jesse Plemons, Sonoya Mizuno and Nick Offerman as the President of the United States.
Garland wrote and directed Civil War, and it looks like a scary vision of America. Garland is the filmmaking behind Ex Machina, Annihilation, and Men, and it looks like he’s made another great movie that is going to take audiences on an intense and thrilling journey.
