Trailer for Alicia Vikander's Intense-Looking Drama BLUE BAYOU
Focus Features has released a trailer for its upcoming film Blue Bayou, which comes from writer and director Justin Chon (Gook and Ms. Purple), and it stars the talented Alicia Vikander.
Blue Bayou tells the moving and timely story of “a uniquely American family fighting for their future. Antonio LeBlanc (Justin Chon), a Korean adoptee raised in a small town in the Louisiana bayou, is married to the love of his life Kathy (Vikander) and step-dad to their beloved daughter Jessie. Struggling to make a better life for his family, he must confront the ghosts of his past when he discovers that he could be deported from the only country he has ever called home.”
This looking like it’s going to be an intense and frustrating story to watch unfold. Looks like a solid film, though, and I’m interested in watching it.
Blue Bayou is premiering at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and Focus will release the movie in select US theaters on September 17th, 2021.
