Trailer For ALIENS: DARK DECENT Reveals Story Details and a New Xenomorph
Focus Entertainment has released a new trailer for an upcoming Aliens game they’ve been developing titled Aliens: Dark Decent. The trailer offers details on the game’s story and it also teases a new breed of Xenomorph.
The Xenomorph pops up near the end of the trailer and as you’ll see is a slightly different take on the alien creature! It looks like an awesomely sinister creature! It’s got fleshier colors and gnarly human-like teeth. There’s also an interesting humanoid creature introduced.
In Aliens: Dark Descent, “the horrors and wonders of an authentic Alien narrative unfold through a cinematic campaign full of sinister secrets, iconic Xenomorphs and brand-new threats. A range of tactical abilities come into play to recruit, level up and command a squad of Colonial Marines in real-time and as one unit with intuitive controls on both keyboard & mouse and controller. Any command issued over comms is swiftly obeyed by the Marine best-equipped for the situation according to their abilities and equipment. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent and reactive levels. However, each marines’ vitals should be monitored cautiously — for death is permanent.”
Focus also shared some pre-order incentives on its website. If you purchase the $39.99 game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or PC before June 20 get the “Lethe Recon Pack” which comes with black armor for the player’s squad and a unique cat companion, which is a nod to Jones, the cat from Alien.
