Trailer for Amazon's Biblical Epic Series HOUSE OF DAVID From the Creator of THE CHOSEN
Prime video has released a trailer for their biblical epic series House of David, featuring newcomer Michael Iskander, who starred in the Tony Award-winning musical Kimberly Akimbo.
In the story, David becomes the King of Israel, along the way taking on Goliath (Martin Ford) and navigating love and loss to fulfill his ultimate destiny despite starting off as an outcast teenager.
Alongside Iskander, the cast includes Ali Suliman (Jack Ryan) as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer (Angels and Demons) as Queen Ahinoam, Stephen Lang (Avatar: The Way of Water) as Samuel, Indy Lewis (Industry) as Mychal, Yali Topol Margalith (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) as Mirab, Ethan Kai (The Turkish Detective) as Jonathan and Saul’s son, Sam Otto (Snowpiercer) as Eshbaal and Oded Fehr (Star Trek) as Abner, Saul’s advisor.
House of David comes from Jon Erwin (Jesus Revolution, American Underdog) and Jon Gunn (Ordinary Angels) with Erwin, Gunn, Jonathan Lloyd Walker, Justin Rosenblatt, Chad Oakes and Michael Frislev serving as executive producers in association with Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios.
The show is based on an idea by Erwin with Dallas Jenkins, the creator and producer-director of The Chosen, serving as shareholder and special advisor to Wonder Project.
The first three episodes of House of David are set to premiere on February 27th on Prime Video with the following dropping weekly. Check out the trailer below:
