Trailer For ANIMAL CRACKERS Looks Like a Fun and Fresh Animated Film with John Krasinski and Emily Blunt

I love the animated movies we've been getting lately. Really, I have. But part of me has felt that they have lacked some of the same heart as when I was a kid. This new trailer for Animal Crackers looks like it wants to attempt to fill that void.

Animal Crackers is, as far as I can tell, a movie about a guy who winds up owning a carnival and eats animal crackers to change into different animals. Pretty simple premise, but it feels magical and fun. The main character isn't a wisecracking over the top funny guy, it's played by John Krasinski and he's joined by his real life wife Emily Blunt, and Danny Devito in a sincere heartfelt role. I love Danny Devito in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but I love when I get to see him playing something down to earth and caring. In this case, it's a clown with magic crackers, but still. The rest of the cast includes Sir Ian McKellen, Sylvester Stallone, Patrick Warburton, and more.

The trailer looks great. It's not top of the line animation, but if the story and message are good, I couldn't care less about the animation. Check it out below. There's currently no release date for the film.
