Trailer for Animated Action Comedy Sequel THE BAD GUYS 2 From DreamWorks
DreamWorks Animation has released a new trailer for their action comedy sequel The Bad Guys 2. Pierre Perifel is back to direct the second film, with co-director JP Sans, who was head of character animation on the first film. The story is adapted from the Scholastic book series by Aaron Blabey.
Original cast members returning to voice the clever characters include Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina. Newcomers in this sequel include Danielle Brooks as The Bad Girls leader Kitty Kat, a clever snow leopard; Maria Bakalova as Pigtail, a brilliant Bulgarian wild boar engineer; Natasha Lyonne as Doom, a cunning raven.
The synopsis reads:
Everyone's favorite felons are back, and this time, they've got company. In the new action-packed chapter from DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed comedy smash about a crackerjack crew of animal outlaws, our now-reformed Bad Guys are trying (very, very hard) to be good, but instead find themselves hijacked into a high-stakes, globe-trotting heist, masterminded by a new team of criminals they never saw coming: The Bad Girls.
This looks like another fun family film. The first one was great. We took our kids to see it, and everyone had a blast. Check out the trailer below, and watch The Bad Guys 2 when it hits theaters on August 1, 2025.
