Trailer For Animated Book Adaptation of FERDINAND with John Cena

While at the drive-in with the family this past Friday night, I got to see the trailer for the upcoming animated movie Ferdinand. I didn't even know this movie was being made, but I was so thrilled to see the trailer, as it is one of mine and my kids' favorite books. We have checked out The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf many times from our local library, and have enjoyed it for years. It actually came out in 1936, but I didn't know about it until I was grown and had children of my own. I think it's a wonderful story to tell, and I can't wait to see the movie with my family.

Here's the Description about the film:

"After Ferdinand, a bull with a big heart, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure."

The movie stars John Cena as Ferdinand, and has a great supporting cast that includes Kate McKinnon, Daveed Diggs, Bobby Cannavale, David Tennant, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson, and more. Carlos Saldanha is directing, and he has brought us some solid animated films such as Rio, Ice Age, and their respective sequels. The trailer includes the song Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran, and just has an all around feel-good vibe to it. If you have kids, or just enjoy a good animated flick, check out the trailer below. I also recommend the book, which you can find at any book retailer, or your local library. The movie comes out December 15th.
