Trailer for Animated Sports Flick GOAT Unleashes an Animal-Packed Basketball Adventure

Sony Pictures Animation just dropped the trailer for their upcoming animated movie GOAT, and it’s looking like a wild, action-packed ride for kids and sports fans alike.

Set in a world of anthropomorphic animals, GOAT follows Will, a small but scrappy goat who dreams of making it big in the sport of roarball—a high-octane, co-ed, full-contact game played by the most elite and powerful beasts around.

Will gets the chance of a lifetime to prove himself, despite his teammates doubting if a little goat has what it takes. But he’s got heart and hustle, ready to show the world that “smalls can ball!” As the tagline boldly puts it, “You’re never too small to dream big.”

The film is co-directed by Tyree Dillihay and Adam Rosette, and it’s backed by the same studio that brought us Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, so expect some killer animation and style. GOAT boasts an all-star voice cast including Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, Jelly Roll, and Jennifer Hudson.

It’s looking like a fun animated sports comedy that brings serious energy and heart to the court. The movie will hit theaters on February 2026.
