Trailer For Anya Taylor-Joy, Olivia Cooke, and Anton Yelchin's Dark Comedy Thriller THOROUGHBREDS

A red-band teaser trailer has been released for an upcoming dark comedy thriller called Thoroughbreds. The movie looks great and it has an impressive cast of actors that includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Olivia Cooke, and the late Anton Yelchin. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and I heard great things about it, unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see it myself. I really like what I'm seeing in this trailer, though.

The story centers on two upper-class teen girls in suburban Connecticut who reignite their friendship after years of having grown apart. When the two come together again, they start to make plans to kill their stepfather, who they both hate. Here's the full synopsis:

Childhood friends Lily and Amanda reconnect in suburban Connecticut after years of growing apart. Lily has turned into a polished, upper-class teenager, with a fancy boarding school on her transcript and a coveted internship on her resume; Amanda has developed a sharp wit and her own particular attitude, but all in the process of becoming a social outcast. Though they initially seem completely at odds, the pair bond over Lily's contempt for her oppressive stepfather, Mark, and as their friendship grows, they begin to bring out one another's most destructive tendencies. Their ambitions lead them to hire a local hustler, Tim, and take matters into their own hands to set their lives straight.

The movie was directed by Cory Finley and it will be released on March 8th, 2018.
