Trailer for AUTUMN AND THE BLACK JAGUAR - A Story of Friendship in the Amazon

A trailer has been released for the family friendly film Autumn and the Black Jaguar. The story follows a girl who befriends a baby jaguar in the Amazon jungle, and she returns when she hears he’s in danger. The film stars Lumi Pollack, with Wane Baker, Paul Greene, Emily Bett Rickards, and Kelly Hope Taylor. It was directed by Gilles de Maistre (Mia and the White Lion, The Wolf and the Lion), from a screenplay written by Prune de Maistre.

The film’s synopsis reads:

Growing up in the Amazon rainforest gave Autumn the rarest of friendships – a lost jaguar cub she names Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope for the unknowns of New York City, she dreams for years of going back to the rainforest and her friend. Aged 14, and having grown accustomed to city life, Autumn discovers her childhood village is under threat from animal traffickers and decides she must return to the Amazon to her beloved jaguar. Anja, her endearingly clumsy biology teacher, unsuccessfully tries to dissuade her from this reckless plan. Joined by Anja, Autumn embarks on a journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who seek to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.

This looks cute for the right audience. I was a kid who loved animals like this, so I have a soft spot for stories like this one. Check out the trailer below, and watch Autumn and the Black Jaguar in theaters in 2024.
