Bleecker Street has released the trailer for a family drama titled Ezra which stars Bobby Cannavale and Robert De Niro. This looks like a delightful and touching film that tells a heartfelt story.

The film centers on Max Bernal (Cannavale), a stand-up comedian living with his father (De Niro) while struggling to co-parent his autistic son Ezra with his ex-wife.

The synopsis reads: “When forced to confront difficult decisions about their son’s future, Max and Ezra embark on a cross-country road trip that has a transcendent impact on both their lives. It is an endearing and often funny exploration of a family determined to find their way through life’s complexities with humor, compassion, and heart.”

Ezra is directed by Tony Goldwyn from a screenplay written by Tony Spiridakis. Joining Cannavale and De Niro are Vera Farmiga, Whoopi Goldberg, Rainn Wilson, Goldwyn, and William A. Fitzgerald.

The film is set to arrive in theaters on May 31st.
