Trailer for Charlie Cox's MI6 Spy Thriller Netflix Series TREASON
Charlie Cox stars in a new spy thriller series for Netflix titled Treason, and in it, he plays an MI6 agent who unexpectedly is chosen to lead the agency after an assassination attempt on his mentor. But, everything is not as it seems.
Treason is a limited series and the story revolves around Adam Lawrence, “trained and groomed by MI6, whose career seems set. But when the past catches up with him in the form of Kara, a Russian spy with whom he shares a complicated past, he is forced to question everything and everyone in his life. A triangular relationship forms between Kara, Adam, and his wife, Maddy; three people who are trying to expose each other’s secrets, navigate political and diplomatic relationships, whilst hanging onto their personal lives, and those they love most.”
It looks like this show is going to tell a great spy story, and it’s described as Bodyguard meets John Le Carre. The show was written and executive produced by Bridge of Spies‘ Matt Charman. Cox is joined in the series by Ciarán Hinds, Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Black Widow) and Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones).
The series is set to be released on December 26th.
