Trailer for Chris Pine and Ben Foster's Mercenary Action Thriller THE CONTRACTOR

The first intense trailer has dropped for the upcoming action thriller The Contractor, a film formerly titled Violence of Action. The movie reunites Chris Pine and Ben Foster as best friends that served in the military together.

Pine plays an ex-Special Forces Sergeant who takes a job as a mercenary for a private organization. While on his mission, things go wrong, and he is forced into a situation where he has to survive and get back home as people are out to kill him.

The movie also has a great supporting cast including Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, JD Pardo, Florian Munteanu, and Kiefer Sutherland. The movie was directed by Tarik Saleh (The Nile Hilton Incident) and this is the synopsis:

Chris Pine stars in this action-packed thriller as Special Forces Sergeant James Harper, involuntarily discharged from the Army and cut-off from his pension. In debt, out of options and desperate to provide for his family, Harper decides to contract with a private underground military force. When the very first assignment goes awry, the elite soldier finds himself hunted and on the run, now caught in a dangerous conspiracy and fighting to stay alive long enough to get home and uncover the true motives of those who betrayed him.
