Trailer For Cillian Murphy's Next Film SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE
Lionsgate has released a trailer for the upcoming film Small Things Like These, which stars Cillian Murphy and Emily Watson.
The movie is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Claire Keegan, and it’s said that Murphy delivers a stunning performance.
The film is set in 1985 and Murphy plays devoted father Bill Furlong, and “while working as a coal merchant to support his family, he discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent — and uncovers truths of his own — forcing him to confront his past and the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church.”
Murphy previously talked about the project saying: “I’m honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Claire Keegan’s magnificent novel to the screen.
“We have gathered together a phenomenal team of creatives to make this film, and found exceptional partners in AE, a studio led by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck — actors and filmmakers I have admired for many years.”
Tim Mielants directed the film and it was produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
The movie will be released on November 8th.
