Trailer for Creepy Horror Thriller THE CURE Featuring David Dastmalchian and Ashley Greene

A trailer has been released for the creepy horror thriller The Cure, featuring Samantha Cochran as Ally, a sick teenage girl who is being treated for a mysterious illness while in the care of her adoptive parents, played by David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil) and Ashley Greene (Twilight).

They are joined in the cast as Sydney Taylor, Tyler Lawrence Gray, Alex Veadov, Marisa Echeverria, and Bunny Levine. The film is directed by Nancy Leopardi (Nanny Cam, Lethal Seduction), from a screenplay written by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer.

The film’s synopsis reads: “Family is more than blood. From the writers of Unsane comes a new psychological thriller inspired by chilling advances in biotech.

“Afflicted with a mysterious illness, Ally (Samantha Cochran) discovers that her billionaire adoptive parents (David Dastmalchian & Ashley Greene) have sinister designs linked to her recovery and the surrounding community.

“With twisted visions of macabre experiments haunting her, she must fight to escape the binds of the malicious medical condition as well as the fortified island compound or be drained of everything that makes her human.”

This doesn’t look like the best thing this cast has ever been in, but who knows? Maybe it could deliver a few good jumps.

Check out the trailer below, and watch The Cure when it’s released direct-to-VOD in the UK on April 13th. Stay tuned for a US release date.
