Trailer For DARIO ARGENTO PANICO; A Documentary That Dives Into The Horror Films of Dario Argento

Iconic Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento is the subject of a new documentary film titled Dario Argento Panico, and the first trailer has been released ahead of its premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

I remember watching Argento’s Suspiria for the first time, that was the movie that got me into classic Italian horror cinema. After that, I took a deep dive and watched all kinds of films and also continued to explore the films of Argento. That guy is a madman when it comes to the films that he’s made. Especially his older films.

The doc is described as “an immersive deep dive into the creative process and life of Argento and features exclusive interviews with the legendary filmmaker and insight from other acclaimed directors like Gaspar Noé, Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn about his impact on the horror genre and generations of other directors.”

The doc was directed by Simone Scafidi, and it focuses on Argento as he finishes writing the script for his last feature in a hotel as a film crew shoots a movie about him. Check out the teaser and you can actually watch the doc on SCREAMBOX now.
