Trailer For Decades-Long Love Story LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER Starring Shailene Woodley and Felicity Jones
A new trailer has been released for the decades-long love story Last Letter From Your Lover, starring Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as a modern-day journalist who comes across love letters from 1965, and sets out to unravel the story behind them. Shailene Woodley (The Descendants, Big Little Lies) is the woman in the past, and the two are joined in the cast by Joe Alwyn (Boy Erased, The Favourite), Callum Turner (War & Peace, Emma.), Nabhaan Rizwan (1917), and Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education).
The film is directed by Augustine Frizzell from a script by Nick Payne and Esta Spalding, and is based on the novel by Jojo Moyes.
Here’s the synopsis:
A pair of interwoven stories set in the present and past, THE LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER follows Ellie Haworth (Felicity Jones), an ambitious journalist who discovers a trove of secret love letters from 1965 and becomes determined to solve the mystery of the forbidden affair at their center. As she uncovers the story behind Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley), the wife of a wealthy industrialist, and Anthony O’Hare (Callum Turner) the financial journalist assigned to cover him, a love story of Ellie’s own begins to unfold with the assistance of an earnest and endearing archivist (Nabhaan Rizwan) who helps her track down more letters.
This looks like a good movie that fans of the genre will enjoy. I like romantic movies, and I’m a big fan of these two actresses, so I am looking forward to it. Check out the trailer below, and watch Last Letter From Your Lover on Netflix on July 23, 2021.
