Trailer For Director D.J. Caruso's 1850 California Gold Rush-Set Romance Film REDEEMING LOVE

Universal Pictures released a new trailer for writer and director D.J. Caruso’s upcoming film titled Redeeming Love. The film tells a romance story that’s set in the 1850s during the California Gold Rush. Caruso is best known for directing film such as Disturbia and Eagle Eye.

The movie is based on the bestselling novel by Francine Rivers, and it tells “a powerful story of relentless love and perseverance as a young couple's relationship clashes with the harsh realities of the California Gold Rush of 1850. It is a life-changing story of the power of unconditional and all-consuming love.”

I’ve seen my fair share of romance films, some are good, some are way too sappy, and some are downright bad. Redeeming Love could end up being any one of those things, and I guess it all depends on your taste in romance films. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think about it.

The movie stars Abigail Cowen and Tom Lewis as Angel and Michael, the two young lovers are the center of this story. The rest of the cast includes Famke JanssenLogan Marshall-GreenNina DobrevLivi BirchEric DaneBrandon AuretJamie-Lee O'Donnell, and Josh Taylor.

Universal will release Redeeming Love in theaters starting on January 21st, 2022.
