HBO Max has released the first trailer for director Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming heist crime thriller No Sudden Move. The film also includes an impressive ensemble cast that includes Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro, David Harbour, Ray Liotta, Jon Hamm, Brendan Fraser, Kieran Culkin, Amy Seimetz, and Julia Fox.

The film is set In 1955 Detroit, and the story follows “a group of small-time criminals are hired to steal emerging car technology. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them - and for what ultimate purpose - weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.”

Soderbergh has made a few great heist films in his career with the Oceans franchise and Logan Lucky. He seems to enjoy telling these kinds of stories, and he’s really good at it! This one certainly has a different vibe than his other heist films, but it sure does look like a solid and entertaining movie!

No Sudden Move was written by Ed Solomon, who is best known for the Bill & Ted trilogy and Men In Black. The movie is set to premiere on HBO Max on July 1st.
