Trailer for Disney+'s Korean Serial Killer Horror Thriller Series CONNECT From Director Takashi Miike

Well, here’s a teaser trailer for an interesting and great-looking horror series that I never thought I’d see come from Disney! It’s titled Connect, it was made for Disney,+ and it was directed by legendary Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi the Killer, Graveyard of Honor, 13 Assassins, Yakuza Apocalypse, Blade of the Immortal, First Love). I love that he’s directed this series, and it looks awesome. You’ll get to see some gnarly footage in this trailer.

The series is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name by Shin Dae-sung, and the story follows a man who is kidnapped and one of his eyes is taken by a gang of organ hunters. His eye ends up being transplanted into the body of a serial killer and now the unwilling donor is seeing terrible things as he witnesses the horrifying attacks on the people of Seoul that the killer is attacking.

The synopsis reads: “Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series depicts a mysterious story that occurs when a man who has been deprived of a part of his body by organ hunters, connects with a person who has received an organ transplant.”

The series stars Jung Hae-in, Go Kyung-pyo, and Kim Hye-jun, and it was created by writers Heo-dam and Masaru Nakamura.

This series will premiere at the 2022 Busan Film Festival this fall. The series will then premeire on Disney+ starting in December 2022. I’m looking forward to watching this!
